Art at Allen Street Campus

At Allen Street Campus Art is in full swing.  This Fall and Winter the art classes have made illuminated clay pumpkins, thrown clay bowls and mugs on the potter’s wheel, drawn colored pencil optical illusions, and learned about cephalopods that they drew using shading techniques.  They also did a Raku Firing using a portable outdoor kiln to fire 2D fish for a mosaic they are creating.  Individual students are making murals on ceiling tiles that can be seen throughout the school.  Other students are making stained glass windows, working on lamps, and some have worked on drawing buildings using two point perspective!  “The fun I have in art is such a good feeling, and it is only me and the teacher working together!.”
